I would appreciate some assistance in setting up my AC5300 for OpenVPN using the VyprVPN service. The routers stock ASUSWRT VPN feature provides for configuring different VPN protocols. I've only been able to get PPTP working and it is extremely slow.

The AC5300 has the following settings for OpenVPN - see picture

After set up, I am unable to connect. Keep getting connection failed?

Thanks in advance

Will you be using the router as a Server for your other clients or as Client only? Because a certificate, I presume would be required and if I'm not mistaken, you don't have one inserted.

I want other devices on my network to access the internet through the router and utilize the routers built in VPN. I did try to load a ca.vyprvpn.com.crt file but still get connection failed.

Ok. So you want to use the router as a server. If that's the case, from the look of it, you're not in any need of a certificate on the router. Why Vyprvpn and not OpenVPN?

VyprVPN is my VPN provider. I don't think you can configure an openvpn without a provider?
