Hate to necro old threads but this most closely resembles my situation so far as I can tell on these extensive forums. I'm running the latest Merlin fork on my rt-ac68u, trying to tether my Verizon galaxy s8 and it picks up that I have a "samsung_android" connected but the wan always says cable disconnected no matter what configuration I choose, no matter what usb port I use on the router. Same behavior with stock firmware.
Any chance I'm missing something, or is the s8 incompatible with this router/firmware? Thanks in advance.
