I have a Asus RT-AC87U running the latest merlin firmware, on which I have a DDNS running via the service Asus provided. I use the suggested Let's Encrypt service to sign the certificate.
Now I also have a Synology NAS running, which in order to use HTTPS properly, also requires a signed certificate. It also provides the option of using Let's Encrypt. So my logic was, to export the certificate from the router, and import it on the NAS. This works, but the certificate is not trusted by any service I run on it.
Which is odd. Because if I try to use Let's Encrypt via the Synology wizard for the same Asus domain, it throws up an error, because that domain is already signed ofcourse.
So how do I solve this? How do I get my NAS to behave with the routers' certificate?
