Slow 5Ghz on OEM, not on Merlins FW?

As the topic say, all the latest OEM FW bogs my 5Ghz wifi down to a crawl. This does not happen on Merlins FW.

The Asus forum seem to have no answer for me...

What router model? The only router that might make a difference is the RT-N66U. All other routers use the exact same wireless driver as Asus.

I have a RT-AC66U. While I do use your FW, I'd like to at least be able to use the OEM, but I cannot as it is now.

I will try out a Netgear R7000 and see if it offers me a better experience. Would be nice if someone knew why my 5ghz bogs down with official FW.
