spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

@welim, you just replied to a deprecated thread for the spdMerlin script. However, I'll try my best to help you as far as I could.

Firstly, spdMerlin has a built-in feature to maintain an adaptive QoS. The feature is called AutoBW, which helps you with what you're trying to do from what I understood from your post. You can configure and customize it to automatically adjust QoS bandwidth limits using automatic Speedtest data.

Secondly, please post in the current thread of spdMerlin, and/or the current thread of FlexQoS for any further follow-ups you need, and here are the links for you:

Thank you @Tarek Yag , I tried to install this but somehow my AX88U seems not compatible.

No Swap file detected!
Entware not detected!

Then it kick me out
Just making sure of things... Do you have Entware installed?

@Jeffrey Young , my first time installing using Asus Merlin firmware was FlexQOS. No other special firmware or software installed after this.
Currently my instant guard VPN not working. Not sure it’s due to flexQOS. I will have to redo the VPN thing. For EntWare, I’m sure I didnt install

Most Asus Merlin use Entware. It is somewhat the backbone of doing all the extras on the router.

You can use the router's builtin amtm script to install entware.

Entware and a Swap file are both prerequisites of spdMerlin. It's not at all that your router is not compatible.

This is not related to your problem. You're just missing installation requirements.
If potentially can damage the router, I think I will skip for now. 😅
OMG 😂 This is totally unrelated to your case. The guy in that issue page is trying to do a specific unusual install. Entware normally installs to the USB disk, not JFFS. So this issue is totally out of the scope of whatever you'll be doing within AMTM. Everything is totally safe for your router with the standard installation.

@welim, now all you need to do is open your AMTM main menu, install Entware using the option "ep", then make a swap file using the option "sw", then you'll be able to install spdMerlin. It should be a smooth and seamless installation for you as everything is well documented and you'll always get useful on-screen help, tips, and instructions. Thanks to the great developer of AMTM, thelonelycoder.
