New Around Here
I just got an AXE16000 and have seen mentioned on reviews of both this router and others that people have found Merlin's firmware provides better stability. In the past, I thought Merlin's firmware focused on different options but not bug fixes to the source code. Is that still true or are there stability and bug fix improvements from his code?

Thanks!

Depends on what they are looking for. 386.8 contained a number of webui issues specific to the GT-AX16000 that only appeared later on the stock firmware, for example.

Anything related to wifi will be identical to stock however.

Thank you very much, sir. I greatly appreciate all you've done over the years!

FYI if you read the change log for the firmware you can see what changes have been made. Those changes include certain CVE updates, and updates to various services that may be additions beyond the stock Asus firmware.
