Describe:
Accessing my router’s web interface remotely is extremely slow — loading a single page takes ~6 minutes on average, and sometimes up to 14 minutes, making it nearly unusable.
Expected behavior:
Any way to improve/optimize the GUI speed for remote access or VPN in?

Describe:
Accessing my router’s web interface remotely is extremely slow — loading a single page takes ~6 minutes on average, and sometimes up to 14 minutes, making it nearly unusable.
- Router is overseas (500 Mbps up/down).
- From the U.S., I tested:
- VPN in and speed test → ~450 Mbps, so bandwidth is fine. Latency is 200–350 ms (avg ~220 ms).
- Tried FreshTomato and DD-WRT, the web GUI loads normally and much faster.
- VPN into Merlin router → access 192.168.1.1 → still very slow.
- Direct DDNS remote access → same issue.
- Use SSH it seems normal
