The system time zone is different from your local setting.

What actually resolved the time problem?, was it the incorrect default gateway, changing get lan ip automatically to yes, or the list of commands that were provided, or all of the above?

As far as I can tell the problem was just the incorrect default gateway. By changing to automatic IP the AP set that to the correct value for you. You might have needed to do a reboot of the AP after fixing that problem.
