Hi Tim, not sure if this is one for you or for SCB, but curious if you've seen the new Tonidoplug. I'm thinking about getting one to do off-site backup, though I've still not figured how best to do this...

Looks neat. I hope they are still year two years from now! I think PoGo Plug is struggling.

user talks of 300MB file xfer taking one minute 45 sec which is about 22Mbps. Not so hot. Has a Marvel CPU but didn't see what speed.

But, hey, the diskless device is just $120. I'd think that a $200 single-bay Synology would be a better choice for the tech-savvy, but these appliances do have their good place in the market.

It's clocked around 1.2GHz.

The main reason for this vs. a Synology or similar is that I thought would be nice to just have a single (or no) cables coming out of the device if I'm leaving it at, say, an aunt's or cousin's place. I'd do the initial backup onto the disk here, and then just go plug it in at the off-site location and voila, hopefully.
