TP-LINK TL-WDR3600 N600 as access point for 2Wire 3600HGV

Hey everybody! Just bought a TP-LINK TL-WDR3600 N600 that I plan on using with my 2Wire 3600HGV. My question is how do I go about setting up my TP Link router as an access point? I plan on not using my 2Wire for anything except for a modem. To be more descriptive, I will probably be installing Openwrt Gargoyle, unless somebody has a better recommendation? Any help is greatly appreciated!
