Trendnet announces new AC1900 Wireless USB Adapter

TRENDnet just announced the availability of its new AC1900 wireless USB adapter, the TEW-809UB AC1900 High Power Dual Band Wireless USB Adapter. With four large detachable antennas and beamforming capability, the new Wi-Fi adapter delivers a maximum link rate of 600 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 1300 Mbps at 5 GHz.

The new TEW-809UB adapter connects to MacOS or Windows computers using an included 3-foot USB 3.0 Micro-B to USB Type-A cable, and can use WPS to connect to wireless routers and access points.

The TEW-809UB is available now at an MSRP of $109.99.

If you need it, you need it but when I first saw that USB wifi adapter I thought it was a drone.

For $100 dollars would much, much prefer a refurbished Asus RT-AC68u router with 4 ethernet ports if portability was not an issue.

Nice they bring up Macs - this means Realtek perhaps, and as such USB-Ethernet there, and not bad - a bit spooky with system updates at times, but generally work there...
