I am very new to networking, Sorry for newbage. So I have a Asus rtn66u.
Ok I have a two router setup: router one is a ISP-branded one from UK VirginMedia (SuperHub) but it has fibre (coaX port) so I use that then my RTN66U wired into it.
The IP on ISP router is 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 and plan on keeping them all on the same subnet. So that means all down stairs (ISP router) connect to 192.168.1.1 subnet? as I want ISP router to pass them over to main network.
My option is Asus router upstairs and ISP one downstairs. This means upstairs I have 4 ports and 3 ports for downstairs.
Or my other option is both routers downstairs making ISP router a modem really.
