Yea i've seen a lot of 9~ vulnerabilities even 9.8 or 9.9 but never 10. So it is really hard to get 10 even if you try your best to find it so it has to be really really bad.CIsco and Juniper also had their share of security issues over the years, so it`s not fair to single out Ubiquiti here as if they were suddenly worse than everyone else. pfsense? They also have quite a list of past CVEs of severity up to 9.x.
This is just the norm, the perfect 100% safe software does not exist in 2026. What matters is the frequency of these issues, their severity, and how quickly they get resolved. I haven`t heard of Ubiquiti being worse than the rest. Mikrotik had some major issues a few years back as well.
Based on the CVE, you need to be already connected within the network to be able to exploit this.It means that if some1 has their unifi device open to the internet then it will take 3 seconds for a bot scanner to take over their device.
