Unable to move forward from 380.58_0

I get the following error when I try to upgrade my RT-AC66U running Merlin's 380.58_0 build.

Firmware upgrade unsuccessful. This may result from incorrect image or error transmission. Please check the version of firmware and try again.

I've tried both the 380.59 build as well as the latest 380.65_2 version. What causes this error? I highly doubt both downloads failed to download and extract correctly.

Silly question but are you using the correct version of the AC66U firmware? There are two models...
