DNS queries not working this morning, was all ok until last night, no changes made. Checked unbound.log, all queries show NOERROR. Tried restarting unbound and getting this - sed: can't create temp file '/opt/var/lib/unbound/unbound.confJ4Howj': Read-only file system

Sounds to me as if the Entware partition didn't get mounted to the /opt directory for some reason. Either because the script to mount it failed, or the perhaps the USB drive wasn't even mounted.

Check the syslog and/or dmesg.

looks like the USB failed as router plays up now after reboot with same USB reader connected and won't even mount now. USB was mounted ok earlier as I could see the files using WinSCP, couldn't even connect to router after reboot with same USB connected, all ok after removing USB. Have been using a micro SD card for almost a year as many USBs failed. Going to set up again this time with SSD.

So looks like the permission changed somehow on the mount. SD card seems ok after formatting. Anyone else experience this? Does that message tell anything? What could have caused it. Bit of a risk as internet breaks if this happens again.

Don't use the SD card if it is temperamental in the router/adaptor.
