See this postI have configured unbound ad blocker and it is pretty good. Now, that begs a question, do I need Diversion and pixelserv installed?
Also, I noticed in the most current version that even though I enabled ad blocker in unbound in the main menu (2 3) it still shows as "no".
It shows its installed. However, if I go amtm menu -> 7 (unbound) it shows as not installed.
Hey @Xentrk, would you have the urls for CNNgo?This is what I have to whitelist for CBS All Access to work
Code:cbsinteractive.hb.omtrdc.net cws.conviva.com imasdk.googleapis.com pubads.g.doubleclick.net
From viewing the webpage source code, I only see these to hostnames being used:Hey @Xentrk, would you have the urls for CNNgo?
cnn.com
turner.com
nslookup go.cnn.com
Server: 127.0.0.1
Address 1: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain
Name: go.cnn.com
Address 1: 2a04:4e42::323
Address 2: 151.101.193.67
Address 3: 151.101.1.67
Address 4: 151.101.65.67
Address 5: 151.101.129.67
That's good, I'll keep my blocking file at medium and that should do it. Thank you a lot for your help.From viewing the webpage source code, I only see these to hostnames being used:
Code:cnn.com turner.com
Looks like it is being hosted on a CDN named fastly
Code:nslookup go.cnn.com Server: 127.0.0.1 Address 1: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain Name: go.cnn.com Address 1: 2a04:4e42::323 Address 2: 151.101.193.67 Address 3: 151.101.1.67 Address 4: 151.101.65.67 Address 5: 151.101.129.67
I found the urls for cnn in my blacklist.From viewing the webpage source code, I only see these to hostnames being used:
Code:cnn.com turner.com
Looks like it is being hosted on a CDN named fastly
Code:nslookup go.cnn.com Server: 127.0.0.1 Address 1: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain Name: go.cnn.com Address 1: 2a04:4e42::323 Address 2: 151.101.193.67 Address 3: 151.101.1.67 Address 4: 151.101.65.67 Address 5: 151.101.129.67
customad.cnn.com
metrics.cnn.com
I've installed unbound, statistics say I have a 97% hit ratio.
When I run nslookup on the router, it returns 1.1.1.1 as DNS.
Is this normal? I've set 1.1.1.1 as DNS in WAN settings (DoT, strict profile)
