Hi!
I just bought an ASUS EA-AC87 access point to have it as a media bridge and I have noticed that the connection between my ASUS router - RT-AC68U and the AP is not stable. It disconnted every 10-15 min and then I'm forced to restart the AP.
According to another thred here at SMB, the root cause is the 802.11ac Beam forming that is causing this.
I have now disabled it and it works flawless.
@RMerlin, is this something that you are aware of? I'm running your latest FW: 380.57 (24-Dec-2015) and the AP is running with the latest ASUS FW according to the website.
I have also reported this to ASUS customer service.
