Upgrading from AC68U to AC87U

Hi Everyone. Needed help on upgradation. My current setup is the following. 2 AC68Us. One as main router and second one connected as access point via LAN cable. Everything is working fine.
I just noticed a sale on the AC87U online and was wondering if it was worth upgrading to for only the main router. The access point stays as a AC68U. So my questions are the following :

1) Is it worth upgrading to the AC87U over the AC68U and what would be obvious benefits.

2) Is it better to wait for the AC88U to arrive and upgrade to that.

3) My primary usage is net browsing. Downloads. Video streaming via the WDMyCloud.
