Ups for asus

Is there a power replacement for an Asus router that has a battery back up built-in?

I don’t need much, but I’d like a direct replacement

I thought that would be kind of neat

That's pretty neat! I have a UPS that my router is plugged into as well, but it is very far from my ONT modem, so if power goes I'm still down. Maybe one of these for the ONT alone?

I have a cyber power ups from Costco, with what I have, everything runs on battery and I get 4-5 hours of uptime. Generally long enough for the power to come back

I use several versions of this around my house: https://www.amazon.com/APC-Battery-Protector-BackUPS-BX1500M/dp/B06VY6FXMM/?tag=snbforums-20

Maybe overkill just for a router, but usually 2-4 hours depending on load. And I get like 10-15 minutes when running at full tilt. Usually enough time to save and shut stuff off. Then I get like 2-3 hours after most things are shut down.

Hope that helps you.

I use several around the house for the router and modem use a small 850 watt cyber power lasts a few hours , good enough . last week had 4 power failures and hours of brownouts with lights flickering , that is where the UPS saves ewquipment

Same here use a small cheap ($50 at the time) 350 watt Cyberpower UPS to power the router, ONT, and a NAS for short power outages. So far has worked well the two times I've lost power. While the NAS is configured to power down when it detects the power outage from the UPS, the router and ONT ran fine for a while allowing a laptop running off its battery to have internet access.

I have several small UPSs to cover various network devices throughout the house until the (not quite) whole house generator kicks in (about 45 seconds after power outage occurs) — the UPSs provide surge supression as well.
