USB storage on Orbi satellite

Has anyone attached a USB drive to an Orbi satellite with Voxel and shared it via Samba? Is that even possible?

I'm not sure that can be done. What not connect it directly to the usb port on the router?

I have the external storage connected to the router right now. I have a tv that the kids use to watch movies that connects via WiFi to a satellite and the satellite uses the wireless backhaul to connect to the router. While streaming like Netflix and Amazon usually work fine, I sometimes I have bandwidth problems with bandwidth when watching movies from the local storage. I am wondering if “moving the storage closer” will reduce the bandwidth issues since it’ll be one less hop and that tv is the main consumer of the local movies.

It works. Not only RBR but RBS too.
