Use USB stick to update to Merlin?

been a while since I owned an ASUS router. Can I update to Merlin on a AX58 via USB stick?

Don’t own a computer anymore with an Ethernet cable. Assumed USB stick would be better than across wifi.

Do mine with an laptop via wifi all the time. Never thought twice about it.

I've been update the firmware via Wifi for many year without any issue as Asus do have a rescue mode if the update went wrong, but i guess the USB update will work, when in the firmware update page, you just have to point the new firmware on the usb.
