    Is this a service account or can it be deleted? How did it get there? It's not a SAMBA, FTP user.

    That's a "special" account in Unix: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobody_(username)

    It's used for dropping privileges. Avahi, dnsmasq and a few others use it, for security purposes.
