Virgin Broadband Static To Dynamic IP Easy?

I currently have Virgin Business Broadband on an old Grandfathered contract of 350mb with 5 static IPs (as 1 of the services I used for work at the time needed a static IP to work with cable Broadband)
I only ever used 2 of the IPs in the end and I am now vastly over paying for slow speeds as they currently over 600mb for £20pm less than I pay
My set up is supplier cable router provided for Static IPs is in "modem mode" and all my router capabilities including WiFi all handled by my Asus AX86UPRO

I have 2 options:
Switch to a normal service with offers a dynamic IP - but i will need to ask if the modem they provide for this can be put in modem mode or ask for the service with 1 static IP into my Asus router to handle everything as it does now and run my other service out of this (instead of as the 2nd static IP - this is feasible according to IT of this company)

My concern is:
How complicated is it switching my Asus AX86UPRO from Static to dynamic IP assuming i go that way? Will I have to redo everything in settings (including the mesh i have set up with a 2nd router on wired backhaul) or is is just a case of changing the Wan settings and everything else inc DHCP etc all stays the same?

If I get the sefvice with 1 static IP I just have to enter the new IP details? (I am assuming they wont let me keep the same IP I have but I will ask)
Im out of depth with this level of detail and need to make this change with minimal impact on home connectivity so all help appreciated

For the normal domestic service you just change the WAN Connection Type from Static IP to Automatic IP (i.e. DHCP). That's it. No changes need to be made to the LAN.

You might also need to power off the VM Hub for 10 seconds or so and reboot the router when they switch you over.

All the VM Hubs supplied to domestic customers can be put into modem mode.

For fellow simpletons: it is exactly as Colin described. A few steps (obvious to people who know what they are doing but hopefully helpful to anyone intimidated)

The new VM Router will come and need to connect via 192.168.0.1
This for me was same IP as my domestic (Asus) router and my old VM in static IP was 192.168.100.1

SO steps:
1. Connect my PC directly to the new VM router (bypass/turn off Asus one)
2. Log into via 192.168.0.1
3. Turn of Gateway Function in the "Basics" Tab
4. Reboot and let it stabalise for a couple minutes
5. wire the pc/asus router back up so that WAN for asus is from (new) VM
6. Log into VM (if you want) now via 192.168.100.1 which is the default when in Modem mode/static IP
7. Log back into Asus as normal
8. Click WAN/Connection Type and as above select "Automatic" and save
Give it a few secons and Tada everything woks as before on the new VM Modem with the enhanced speeds

It was great until the modem bricked
As did 3 others (engineer came out)
Apparently might be a faulty batch of the Hitron Chita

I thought you were planning to switch to a VM domestic service? AFAIK the Hitron Chita is only supplied to business customers.

Im still on VMB but no longer on the old 350mb/ 5 Static IP
Switched to dynamic 800mb for 1/2 the price

Well that was the principle at least
