Hello, I would like to buy an ASUS RT-AX82U V1 instead of my old RT-AC87U and play the Merlin FW (fork from gnuton) on it again. Had perapurek's script running on the ac87 to run a wan reconnect every day at 4am. Can I take over this 1:1 on the new router
many thanks for your help

Welcome to the forums @huwu2705.

In a word, no.

Many changes from the old/funky RT-AC87U to the AX class router, including SDKs, drivers, and firmware versions.

Why do you need to do a WAN reconnect daily? That sounds like there is something fundamentally wrong, somewhere.

Thank you for your answer L&LD, I'll say it's probably a remnant from the past where a forced separation from the provider was made every day. I think it's still done here in Austria, just not every day anymore.
I just have the feeling that everything is going better with the renewal of the IP, but it's quite possible that it's just an illusion.
many thanks

Yes the same script will work exactly the same on your new router as it did on the old. There's nothing about that script that is specific to the RT-AC87U. It only requires a router that's running Merlin's firmware (or a fork of it).
