Windows Explorer not seeing router under network

I have a Toshiba laptop running W7 64bit, it's been overheating recently causing several crashes, cable modem and router have also been power cycled as well,
My problem is, I now cannot see my routers, one is in bridge mode, and NAS in windows explorer, and connected usb drives, I can still see two folders on my NAS which are mapped as networked drives, but nothing else, I've checked in control panel that W7 is set for auto discovery and power cycled my router again, can anyone help please?

Is it possible that the os is corrupted?

Do you have another computer to try with?

Hi,
Over heating is bad. Take the laptop apart and clean, also reapply thermal paste for cpu heat sink. If OP is unable to do this task, have it done by an expert. One thing I do always when I get new laptop is redoing the thermal paste with higher quality one. Most of time I find just a dab of it not even spread properly from the factory. Also how about checking out the OS by running sfc, check disk, etc. Or boot with previous known good point.

Guys, thanks for your help, laptop has had a new keyboard fitted recently by the local computer shop, I asked them to give it a internal clean, I take your point Tony about CPU paste, I should still have some Arctic Silver about, I've built, repaired and up graded my old pc in the past, inc the CPU heat sink, never had this laptop to bits tho, I've a Zalman laptop cooler on order as well.
think you may have sussed it L&LD, Noticed some odd files in C/:users/ my name/ Temp earlier doing a download, did a little research into them, one was a .dll that seemed to be linked to some malware, might be connected to my Chrome browser, as its not working to good, safari seems to be working fine, am doing a security scan now with ESET smart Security, ill report back here,
cheers!
