weather station looses connection to internet

Hi Guys

i have a r9000 running volex v1.0.4.55HF.
everything is working on the network however i have a weather station which sends data to Weather underground .

IT is connected to the wifi 2.4hgz however it will not connect to the weather underground servers. If i reflash the router with the firmware new/old. it connects for a small period then disconnects. i have checked everything i can think of is there any setting which would prevent the weather station sending small packets of data to the above site
