Weird wireless manufacturer

I started seeing this manufacturer a month or two ago...

http://www.jcg.com.cn/

Very strangely, they seem to only sell their product in China and...Canada? They only sell to the U.S. through kind of a backdoor (explained below).

Their prices are high based on their features:

One would hope the reason they're priced so high is that their transmit power is high...?

Two unusual devices are:

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=85868&vpn=JHR-N936R&manufacture=JCG

which has FIVE separate external antennas. Presumably two are for two-stream N300 on 2.4 GHz and three are for three-stream N450 5 GHz.

There's also this:

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=85871&vpn=JHL-N132R&manufacture=JCG&promoid=1574

an N150 USB adapter with a giant external antenna. That's a nice design and it ought to pull in signal well, but it's still only N150.

It would be neat to see these tested but everyone's interested in ac now and they have no ac products.

Still, I've been watching them with interest for a while. I would guess that sales are slow, that dealer's stock checker shows some suspiciously round numbers.

Since that dealer has a U.S. site, they are available in the U.S. It's kind of a backdoor approach similar to newegg.ca - we can get products here in Canada that we're not "supposed" to get through newegg.ca.

Disclosure: I don't work for the company or the dealer. In fact I'm not even recommending them, I just find their products somewhat unusual.

Really 5 antennas ? Sounds like the more is better camp . Never heard of them and at that price I'd go for the Asus N66 which would save money and get a known product with support

Yeah, I really can't see why you'd buy this N750 when the N900 ASUS RT-N66U is available for just $10 more.

This company is unknown. The RT-N66U is very well known, extensively tested and very widely used.
