I'm after 4T of storage and I have a $1500 budget. What would you guys recommend that I go with? GigE with Raid 5 support and 40MB/s+ throughput is what I'm after. Any suggestions?
 
If you can stomach a "little more" than $1500, look at the new Readynas Pro. Performance that is unmatched. Second place would be the Synology DS408 or DS508.
