New Around Here
Quick Question,
I just got a new Archer C9. Now i'm wondering how do i best set up my devices?

- If they can all connect to 5Ghz. Do i just disable 2.4?
- Do i leave 2.4 on and connect all devices to both, and they'll chose which one to use?
- Do i connect certain devices to 2.4 and others to 5?

Very Small House with 2 macbook air, 2 iphone, 1 ipad, 1 apple TV and only one macbook air does not support ac

Thanks
Chris

I would connect the iPhones and possible the iPad as well to the 2.4 GHz band, so they won't slow down the other devices on the 5 Ghz band.

I have a printer and a Verizon Network Extender connected to 2.4GHz. These are both devices that I don't care about the throughput of, and don't want them interfering with the rest. Then phones, tablets, Roku, desktop and laptop computers are all connected to 5GHz. Works well for me, lots of bandwidth on 5GHz. Lots of interference on 2.4GHz around here, upwards of 20 neighboring wireless networks on 2.4GHz., where I only see one neighbor on 5GHz., and that one's signal is way down.
