ExpressVPN as far as I know always has a good reputation…privacy/tracking policy wise in terms of expectations meeting reality. So not sure what you mean by “poor reputation” unless you have specific examples.

As a specific example I know PureVPN did help authorities catch a cyber criminal, so while a good deed their “no logging” claims were in question.
