Why Businesses Choose Proxy Over VPN and why should you?

Hi, I'm kinda new here, so I hope it's okay to post a piece of news on this forum

What do you think of the claim that proxies are more secure than VPNs? AFAIK, proxies don't encrypt your traffic, but maybe I'm missing something?

That article is highly misleading. They are apparently referring to outbound traffic from within the office - something VPNs were not designed for. VPNs are primarily designed for remote access to an office - totally different needs.

Both or either or neither are valid depending on what it is you are really trying to accomplish.
