why [release] threads/posts are not sticky?

Hi,
I wonder why release threads/posts are not sticky.. it would be so much easier to track updates and development.
What do you think?

We don't want to become like other forums with hundreds of stickies to wade through!

Because ideally, the Release threads shouldn't be used anymore after the initial 1-2 weeks after release.
