WiFi7?

I have purchased 9x AX-class APs in last year or so. Skipping Wi-Fi 7 completely.

Yeah ... I've got wifi 6E APs, and my performance-critical clients are 6E, and I have nothing that speaks wifi 7. I won't think about upgrading my APs until I have at least a couple of 7-capable clients, and that seems some ways off. By then, wifi 8 may be the new hotness, and even if I go for wifi 7 APs they won't cost me top dollar anymore.

Your U6-Enterprise APs still cost as much as U7-Pro-Max, more expensive than quite a few other U7 models and most likely will be supported beyond 2030. Don't waste your time even reading about Wi-Fi 7.

I’m starting to think that picking up two second-hand GT-AX6000 units to complete my AiMesh setup is a really affordable, stable, and practical solution.

Note that this article is specifically about MLO. They also have a very good Youtube video related to this article (I watched it last night).

If your goal is to improve throughput, you can definitely benefit from Wifi 7 in this area, even without MLO. My laptop is able to saturate my NAS's 2.5 Gbps Ethernet link when generating its backup, while with Wifi 6e it was a bit below 2 Gbps. However don't overpay for it, especially if you had high hopes on specific features like MLO that are half-implemented at best.

The real issue here is wide spread false advertising. Isn't false advertising prohibited by consumer protection laws in many countries? A person in another thread purchased ZenWiFi BT10 hoping to maximize MLO performance. This is what the advertisement for this model shows:
