Disappointed with BQ16

Was super happy with a pair of XT12 that had no issues and were super stable and fast.

Bought a pair of BQ16 BE25000 (because of some new devices that came with Wifi7) back in July and immediately had issues with legacy devices (IoT, vacuum cleaner, automation, even Ring Chimes).

After 3 months of Asus support assistance, going through 2 beta firmwares, dozens of syslogs sent, many parameter changes, the problems are still unresolved and Asus is now telling me, after the latest firmware upgrade, they don't see an issue. Meaning they gave up.

Very very disappointed with Asus. They launched a very expensive product that was clearly not ready and now refuse to fix it.

I have WIFI7 disabled everywhere, MLO disabled and a dedicated IoT SSID. In the dedicated SSID devices lose connectivity after a couple hours, if I move them to the main SSID same thing happens (except for the Ring Chimes that work perfectly in the main SSID). The devices stay disconnected forever, until I do an Apply on any SSID (just go to the SSID and hit Apply), after this the configuration is reloaded and all devices are connected again.

Do not recommend BQ16 if you have legacy devices. I'm moving back to the XT12.

I feel your pain and was in the same sitauation...well still am dto a certain degree but I am also using my 2xXT12 in AImesh along with the 2nd BQ16...it is getting pregressively better and currently i have the system running sweet ...but ASUS are releasing or have released via WebGui a firmware update for the 16s...hmm...back into turbulence I think!! but not today.

My BQ16 Pro is still using 3.0.0.6.102_36998. I can't find 37000 or 37012 anywhere.

Also, all my devices connect fine, without needing an IoT network.

The BQ16 (non-Pro) is sold wherever only the lower half of 6 GHz spectrum is allowed by regulations. Here in the US and Canada (NA) we get the BQ16 Pro because the full spectrum is allowed. I sometimes wish they did sell the BQ16 and GT-BE98 here, strangely trying to source one from outside of the US is cost prohibitive.

I tried making an IoT specific network before, and failed miserably at moving IoTs over.

Do you have legacy wifi devices working without issues?

Maybe the Pro version doesn't have issues with this type of devices?

Got more than 20 smart bulbs and 40+ smart plugs working with no issues, same with 3 smart TV's, 2 soundbars, and Apple TV 4K, no issues whatsoever.

Also wondering if the Pro doesn't gave these issues, as a co-workers with non-Pro's are having the same problems.

I chose the non-Pro because of the frequency band allocation. As a side note I don't think the Pro is available in all European countries.
