So you say by #36/80 it actually makes a 42?

And by this one https://metis.fi/en/2018/02/5ghz-channels/ it is most reasonable to set #100 for max power?
Tested them all and yes channel 100-112 is about 5-8dB better than 36-64 with region set to EU, I can change it on my chinese version RT-AC86U.

Region is set in bootloader and this is encrypted on 86U so not changeable unlike previous routers, 68U is much better with all flexibility!

I'd be hesitant about make sweeping generalisations about output power as different models, hardware revisions, regional versions, firmware updates, etc. can have an effect also. So what might be true for a router sourced today from China might not necessarily apply to a different model bought 4 years ago in the EU.
