WoL question on asuswrt firmware.

Is sending a WoL packet via an OpenVPN tunnel (from my phone) to the LAN blocked by some internal firewall in the Asuswrt (or merlin) firmware by default?

WoL packets are usually sent to a broadcast address. Broadcast traffic isn't routed and therefore wouldn't go over an OpenVPN TUN connection.

Any solutions to that?

Connect to the router and do WOL from it. I use the web gui or the Asus app.
