Zyxel AC1300 NBG6617

Wondered if anyone has specific experiences of this router, WiFi quality, quality of Zyxel firmware in general (including updates) and streamboost ?
Wifi wise most of my devices are AC capable (but none are mu-mimo) and good WiFi signal more important than WiFi speed ratings.

Zyxel routers in UK aren't exactly well known for their wifi capabilities, you're better off getting the Netgear R7800 which is 100% certain to beat the Zyxel NBG6617 for wifi. A few days ago Amazon UK had the R7800 for sale at 127 quid which is an excellent price but it seems to have crept up to 150 now.

Could not find enough info on the Zyxel so got an Asus AC66U B1 (rebadged AC68U) at £95 from Amazon.
