I have an ASUS ET8 and am currently running 3004.388.4-gnuton1

I want to bring it up to .6 but can't remember which package I need to download from the Merlin site. I believe its the RT-AX92 one but want to make sure before I brick my routers. :)

Thanks!
Neither. I don`t support the ET8, Gnuton does.

No, tls_ca_file is a valid parameter for stubby, have no fear.
Well, when I set Stubby up to do DNSSEC (yes, I know dnsmasq can do DNSSEC but I prefer to let Stubby do it) Stubby crashes. Did not crash with the same stubby.postconf under 388.5. Something changed.

RT AX86U
Beta1
Code:
Chanspec: 2.4GHz
...
QBSS Channel Utilization: 0xff (100 %)
- I guess it should be "0x00 (0%)" it looks like "Smart connect rules" are not working correctly because of it?

broadcom drivers are definitely better in this Beta1 for the rt-ax86u. signal is stronger and more solid than in .5.

Known bug within some SDK drivers, outside of my control.

Eric, I believe there is an error in the stubby.yml file.
That parameter is fine. Asus has been using it for months, and it resolved the issue of stubby never being able to enable TLS encryption in the early alpha builds due to the lack of root certificates.

After flash on RT-AX88U all pc within parental control get blocked to internet access permanently. Shedule and filter isn't appuyer anymore all is blocked like outside of sheduled time. Reverted to 388.5 and all run fine and follow the schedule and filter of parental control.
How is your parental control configured?

I have RT-AX88U Pro now
Great Router - agree with @L&LD ... abandon the use of the Asus supplied mobile App if you going to run Merlinware.
All too easy to inadvertently open up WAN access from outside to your router!

Wrong thread - this one exclusively for the 388.6-Beta program for AX???? routers only.
Post in one of the GNUton threads or create a new one 👍

After reset "Smart Connect Rule" Tab settings to default values and set it up again it works as expected. I see the weird log "kernel: genirq: Flags mismatch irq 34. 00000000 (brcm_34) vs. 00000000 (brcm_34)" but it's probably related to Broadcom drivers as well and I don't see any related issues so far. The rest looks good. Thanks Eric.
RT-AX86U, Beta1

@NikL :
Do you mind adding a signature with your router model and setup so everybody can see on which model do you refer?

Upgrade (dirty) to 388.6_beta1 from 388.4 (uptime 136+ days) - no issues to report w/ AX86U Pro
Thank you @RMerlin

Ax56u, just updated to 3004.388.6_beta1.
Works as you'd expect.
Works as an AImesh Node.

Can you please check whether all four cores are used under load with this beta? The last 388 version that supported RT-AX56U mainly used only three cores, while the stock version - all 4 cores.

You'll have to describe a specific test to perform that demonstrates the problem. With hardware acceleration enabled the CPU load is negligible. Other router functions like OpenVPN are single threaded so won't use more than one core.

Three cores were in use there even in 388 2_2.

I do not use over that network any heavy duty proccesses.
Same here.

For example, when running the speed test on a relatively fast connection with AdaptiveQOS enabled. On a stock firmware, all cores are used equally, while on 388 the fourth core is almost always idle. Here is the post from another user with a similar question (with screenshots). If the cores are not used equally, then Asus did not bother to adapt this firmware to the BCM6755 SOC, they just used the BCM6750 configuration.

This is not the question of whether the CPU load is negligible, but the question of the availability of resources (BTW, here is another post where a user easily maxes out all available cores). I don't think it is OK when one core is disabled solely due to firmware misconfiguration.

Is just me, or the Aura RGB thingy doesn't work on this release?
GT-AX6000

Even if I disable it, or change the pattern, nothing works, and the RGB keeps turned on.

Also, @thelonelycoder 's led control doesn't work (neither activate or deactivate them, they keep turned on)
