At the latest firmware (since 858 and Merlin's 57 - they both works well) - I trys a 1354, 2345, 3341, 3941, and the latest Merlin (58, 59, 62) - I can't connect to router at 5ghz channel (with various option).
Test with my Sony Z3 compact, Xbox One - no 5ghz SSID available (or after phone reboot it's appears shortly - and loosed fast and permanently, no real transmission).

Wish to have Merlin build with 858-old wifi 5ghz driver... I like Merlin's builds, I used them long time with my old N66U... Which works better, than this sh...

Any suggestions?

P.S. Less my problem - don't working Zalman VE400 (iodd2541) at the USB3.0 port... Many I/O errors, don't mount...
Upd: USB3.0 working at Merlin's 57 (sure with 2.4 noise cancelling OFF, because ON is switch USB3.0 to 2.0 mode, I think and see it in usb-box dispay).

Ok, at last I found, that 5ghz working at manual 36/40/44/48/52/56/60/64 channels (and at 132/136/140 with less bandwidth, but they absent in the latest Merlin's 62_1 ).
Auto(defalult) channels 100/104/108/112/116 NOT WORKING at all (testing in 57 and 62_1, and previously watched at all tested firmwares - because "Auto channel" sets standartly to 100 channel).

Some of bad log (strange chanspec/channel 106, isn't it?):

From what I read, most people on here frown on using "Smart Connect" with these routers. I may be wrong, but i've read some posts where it doesn't work correctly or if at all. Maybe now that it has been out for over a year (this router) users can chime in on if its improved

If auto selection will select from the range of the region available (generally, this bad channels not present in manual list), or allow manual entry - it can be solve the problem.
