My RT-AC3500 download performance has dropped over the last month or so, my modem connection is 220Mbs DL & 13Mbs UL which in linked via a Cat6 20cm patch cable to my RT-AC3500 router, I’ve always had the latest Merlin release installed which is currently 380.65.
If I remove the modem in patch cable from the router and plug it directly in my laptop and www.speed.net the connection I get: DL>200Mbs UL>12Mbs every time, now if I reconnect modem patch cable back to the router and now connect a Cat6 20cm patch lead from any port router LAN port to my laptop and rerun www.speed.net my results are DL<142Mbs sometime <92Mbs UP are always >12Mbs never a repeatable result??
I’ve switched off QOS
I’ve switched off IP monitoring
HW acceleration switched on
Tried hard power cycles, this resolves this speed issue temporally then back to DL<142Mbs
I welcome any thoughts / assistance.
