Hi!

Just wonder if anyone knows if it is possible to set up the RV042 VPN router so that when I log into to the remote VPN network, I will be seen as local user by the remote machines?

Example:
My local IP address is 192.168.2.3
The remote network behind the VPN uses 192.168.19.1/24

After having successfully being logged into the remote network, and I ssh to one of the boxes behind the VPN on the remote network, I see that I am stilled identified with the IP 192.168.2.3.

I was hoping it would be possible receive an IP from the remote network within the subnet: 192.168.19.1/24, so I would be seen by the other machines as e.g. 192.168.19.10.

The reason why am asking this question is that one of the programs behind the VPN requires me to be within the 192.168.19.1/24 subnet.

Thanks for any feedback! :)

the easiest way for this to work would be to use the 192.168.19.0/24 network and cut it into 2 (two) /25's with one side residing at each site and a VPN tunnel between the sites. This will only work if the application isn't subnet aware and is hard coded to read the whole /24 independent of routing.
Other than that you are going to have to step up to some serious 1 to 1 Nat policies to make this configuration work.
