Hey folks,

I have an issue where I am connecting a Gigabit card to a local port and the link state is set to 100 Full Duplex.

What steps can I take to troubleshoot this. This is a gigabit card so shouldn't it default to 1000 Full Duplex?

Appreciate any help.

It would help if you could describe in more detail about all devices involved.

Gigabit card connects at each device?

Well the issue is with a motherboard that has gigabit ports that I am connecting directly to the router. What type of details do you want exactly?

Router model, MB model.

I've fixed the issue. Turns out that having IPMI turned on the failover port instead of the dedicated port was causing Lan 1 to drop to 100 mode. I've changed this and am now connecting at 1000.

Indeed, great you fix it. :)
