Updating firmware for RT-AX86U Pro

I just realized auto-update was off and I haven't updated the firmware on my RT-AX86U Pro since I bought it over a year ago. I'm on 3.0.0.4.388_23285 and will be updating to the current firmware _24199. Are the updates cumulative since the last update, or will this be a problem?

Is there any difference between using the desktop GUI to update and manually updating?

No problem going directly to the latest firmware. 388.24199 works well for me!
