Netgear GS308e web interface only works on default VLAN

I'm firing the gs308e, I'll use it as an unmanaged switch elsewhere in my network.

Netgear GS308e web interface only works on default VLAN

I may have found a clue. Both the gs305e and the gs308e are Netgear "Smart Managed" switches, and one contributor on this post (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Plus-and-Smart-Switches-Forum/GS308E-changing-Management-VLAN/m-p/2274609) claims that these switches can be managed only over an...

Netgear GS308e web interface only works on default VLAN

I probably should have mentioned that. Yes, port 2 on the GS305e is connected to one of my Ubuiquiti APs, so it also trunks all of my VLANs. This was done to take advantage of existing cabling, my other 2 Ubiquiti APs are connected directly to the Edgerouter.

    Sorry, I meant a GS308e (8 port)

Netgear GS308e web interface only works on default VLAN

Good afternoon, I have two managed switches on my one-armed router network, a Netgear GS305e (5 port), and a GS305e (8 port). I have created an Admin VLAN (10), which is one of four VLANS trunked from my Edgerouter X to switch port 1 on each of my Netgear switches. The switch uplink ports on...

Logging inbound connections on Edgerouter X

I have configured my Edgerouter X using the default setup wizard, so there is a rule in place to drop inbound traffic. I would like to log any inbound connection attempts. I have set up a remote log server, and it is logging activity from the Edgerouter. It is not logging any inbound connection...

Asus RT-AC86U vlans plus Unifi UAP-AC-Pro networks

So this raises another question I have been curious about. When you say that the Asus RT-AC86U does not "natively" support VLANS, what precisely does that mean? I understand that it does not offer a GUI interface to create VLANS, but it _may_ offer VLAN functionality through command-line...

Asus RT-AC86U vlans plus Unifi UAP-AC-Pro networks

Good morning, My home network uses an ASUS RT-AC86U router, and several Unifi UAP-AC-PRO devices to provide wifi coverage. My Asus router is running Asuswrt-Merlin v386.7. My goal is to create multiple wifi networks on the Unifi devices, mapping to separate tagged Vlans created by my router...

Host server local DNS for OpenVPN client

Good morning, I have an ASUS RT-AC86U home router running Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7. I am running an OpenVPN server, and I am connecting remotely from a Windows 10 OpenVPN client. When connected to my home network (domain name "pitfall") from my OpenVPN client, I can only access resources on my home...

Resolving local hostnames from OpenVPN clients

(moved here from "Asus Routers & Adapters" forum) I have an ASUS RT-AC86U router, running Merlin 386.1_2. I have enabled the VPN on my router, and I have successfully connected over the WAN from several OpenVPN clients (Android phone, Windows laptop). My clients are able to connect to my LAN...
