Anything in particular you saw wrong with it? I have the 3100.

Regardless, when I get home I will power cycle the router as I do with every firmware upgrade.

Others can correct me if I am wrong but I believe whenever you do firmware upgrades it automatically resets the router during the process. To answer your question I did not have to manually reset or unplug the router.
