Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

I just updated my AX86U to 386.1_2 My Xbox Series X NAT type is now Moderate due to UDNP. I hard reseted my Series X and AX86U and still had the same issue. Anyone else have the same router and Series X to verify? It’s on a wired connection and not wireless. I had to set the DMZ to my Series...

Asus ZenWifi CT8 In AP Mode W/ AC86U Router Question

Question... I currently have 1G Fiber with Centurylink, and use the AC86U in Router Mode logging in through PPPOE with a VLAN Tag of 201. I also disabled both wireless radios. I recently got the ZenWifi CT8 pair and have decided to run them in AP Mode. The AC86U is connected via Ethernet to the...

I am curious how Smart Connect performs on the R7800. Is it the same tech that is in the Orbi's?

    AP VS MESH (Ethernet Backhaul)

Late reply... No worries thiggins :) Netgear has seemed to do better with the latest updates for the Orbi's and seem more stable. I'm not sure if I am disconnecting from the Orbi's or not because it shows still connected but my devices would be slow to load/buffer or not load at all. Xbox...

    AP VS MESH (Ethernet Backhaul)

As of late I have had some issues with my Orbi's. I am fortunate enough to have Ethernet Backhaul as an option. I decided to test out the Netgear x4s R7800 and the overall WiFi and Routing performance seems to be much better than the Orbi's. I know I these are two different animals and I can't...

Netgear Orbi - Ethernet Backhaul Through Switch Help

Take a look at this link and see if this situation helps. It seems to work properly but there are currently issues with the Ethernet Backhaul and you probably could continue to have issues. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/Orbi-RBR-amp-RBS-Ethernet-Backhaul-Help/m-p/1508433#M23836

    RT-AC3100 Bricked After Firmware 3.0.0.4.382.15850

Hey guys, just wanted to reach out and see if any users have experienced this with the new firmware release just 2 days ago. I was on Merlin's Firmware and decided to update the firmware to the Asus Firmware that was just released (3.0.0.4.382.15850). When the update finished it appears to...

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

I just want to add to this that I too have this same issue with 380.68. I have the AC3100 and I don't mess with router configs at all actually. I leave everything set to default. This has been the most stable router I own. We were watching a show and suddenly the 5Ghz band went out. The 2.4Ghz...

Offical ASUS RT-AC88U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.2345

Anything in particular you saw wrong with it? I have the 3100.

    RT-AC88U

http://www.snbforums.com/threads/offical-asus-rt-ac88u-firmware-version-3-0-0-4-380-2345.31204/page-2 I guess the Smart Connect and Repeater Mode is only enabled for the 88u and not 3100. Dumb, Asus should remove the change log of those features.

    RT-AC88U

Regardless, when I get home I will power cycle the router as I do with every firmware upgrade.

    RT-AC88U

Others can correct me if I am wrong but I believe whenever you do firmware upgrades it automatically resets the router during the process. To answer your question I did not have to manually reset or unplug the router.
