Is anyone on 70116 in the US? Has the firmware been pulled? I don't see it on the website or through the web console of the router.

There is stock DDNS functionality on the router. Select WAN from the left menu bar, and then select the DDNS tab. There are quite a few DDNS providers to choose from (dyndns, google, NO-IP, etc). And ASUS even provides the service for free with a built in Let's Encrypt cert.

Do you have any other device on which to try this (laptop, phone, tablet)? Have you looked at the system log when you shut off the Blu-ray player to see if there are any errors?

Do you know if you router rebooted in between the time it was working and then not working for you? That used to be an issue that I had. Also, can you check the IP address assigned to your Blu-ray player (from the player itself) to make sure it matches the IP address the Rapture expects for...

Are you using the "band steering" functionality of the router with SmartConnect? Can you share the information from the system log around the times of the reboots?

Nice review of multiple ASUS routers, including the Rapture: https://techreport.com/review/34005/asus-rog-rapture-blue-cave-and-lyra-trio-wireless-routers-reviewed

Marin, Congrats on working this through! It's grueling, but I hope you feel it was worth it. For what it is worth, you really shouldn't have had to do step #1. You must, however, assign a static IP address to any exception device. When you set the static IP address using the router (as opposed...

This is the piece of advice that I really needed when I was first setting up outbound VPN. So as Maahfu, suggested, make sure the default server is your outbound VPN provider and it is Activated. Make sure you activate each of the client exceptions (and that they have fixed IP addresses) and...

Do you use Smart Connect like Rolo? I did, a year ago, have some problems with disconnects on 5gHz-2 but I never had it "disappear." 32738 seems to be running just fine for me.

Mark, What do you mean by your 2nd 5G channel has now gone missing? Does that mean you don't see the 5GHz-2 drop down in the Band field of the Wireless>General setting? Are you using AImesh? Are you using Smart Connect? Are you using any of the Airtime Fairness, MIMO, or Beamforming options...

I just downloaded and installed (from the web GUI) today without any issues. It seems there are always download problems in the first 24-48 hours of a new firmware with the install process for some people.

All the "Game IPS" services are opt in (off by default). I can only speculate as to the reason for this decision, but it can be unsettling seeing some of the false positives that come from these services. For example, if you need "inside the firewall" uPnP, the router security assessment will...

I've had NordVPN and PIA both working successfully as outbound VPN (and I have inbound open VPN running as well). I wonder if you have a similar issue to Jerie? Have you noticed the two places were you can configure DNS (under LAN>DHCP SERVER and under WAN>INTERNET CONNECTION)?
