Release New firmware to ASUS RT-AX92U - 3.0.0.4.386.41535

i had to reset my 92U to factory settings and re-add the ai mesh node.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

I noticed another problem on the AX-86U /w beta 2. Doing a router based speed test via the browser yields full internet speeds. However, doing a wired speed test on other devices yields less than half the rated upload speed. This is on a gigabit connection where the router shows over 700 Mbps...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

I installed Beta 2 on an AX-86U and wiped all settings. Bandwidth monitor is still broken in anything but traditional QoS mode.

    AX86U - 2 issues, bandwidth monitor, chromecast

Bandwidth monitor is kinda broken right now. If you turn on traditional QoS, it will work again.

    RT-AX86U - Bandwith Monitor doesn't work

Thanks for the post. I just verified this as well. Having QoS turned off doesn't show bandwidth, but having it on does. I like to leave mine off.

    RT-AX86U - Bandwith Monitor doesn't work

I just installed the beta 1 firmware. Only my VPN client split networking traffic seems to show up in bandwidth monitor on the AX-86U. Normal internet traffic is measured almost as using nothing at all.

I guess it was just that I was trying to use traditional QoS. I got similar results with the stock firmware, so I enabled adaptive QoS in Merlin, and it's going at full speed. For traditional mode, you would need two full cores at 100% to max out a gigabit connection.

Yes, it is. I use a lot of bandwidth at times. I want low priority interfaces to throttle down when high priority interfaces are using a lot of bandwidth.

Thanks for the reply. Follow up question: With QoS on, I can only get about 420Mbps on gigabit fiber. It seems that something involving QoS is only running on a single core. Is this something that is being worked on? Forgive me, but i'm just trying to decide if I should keep the AX-88U or...

I have a question for anyone that knows: Will it ever be possible for the AX-88U to have hardware acceleration fully enabled (runner & flow cache) with QoS on? I'm asking because my bandwidth drops by 50% for all devices when I turn on QoS right now with Alpha 3. There is just not enough CPU...

Same here. I haven't had any hits with AiProtection on the official firmware or Merlin in a couple months.

I think I know what you are talking about. The tools tab was showing that the temperature of the 5G chip was disabled. That confused me too. It is showing a temperature now. I hope that answered your question.

Thanks. I was messing around with the settings and it's much better now. There is definitely a bug. Turning off smart connect and giving different names to the 2.4 and 5Ghz bands lets you choose one. I turned smart connect back on and change the SSID, which caused smart connect to work...

Hey Hawk, I actually tried to do this, but there are no options other than Auto. I can turn off the wifi, change the options but when i turn it back on, it's on auto again.

Anyone else get this wifi issue on alpha 1 and 2 with the AX88U? I can't get decent wifi speeds on any device. Just 20Mhz with default settings.
