Anyone know what this is for? Asking for a friend.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

I would like to wish the development team a Merry Christmas and hope that they continue their sterling work* in 2021. *If they could fix the 2.4 WiFi which at the moment is utterly hosed and useable on my kit I will appreciate them even more.

Helpful. The new unified development platform has demonstrated that Asus are no longer paralysed by the complexity of supporting a wide range of hardware. This run of beta releases has proven that Asus are getting a lot better. From the list of kit you have named you've stuck with Asus a long...

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

On the basis that the current beta still has issues I would expect more builds before a stable release emerges.

During the test run Core 1 can get as high as ~75% but not always. Core 2,3,4 hardly get touched.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

My connection is 900 download 90 up. My provider over cooks this a little. I was watching a 4K stream on Netflix when I took the screenshot. Normally the download would be 940ish with no significant activitiy.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Hate to challenge someone who has forgotten more than I will ever know about these routers but here goes: Not on my GT-AX11000. Directly on the router I get exactly what my provider advertise. I would be delighted if I could get even 80% of that via any WiFi connections. The only time the...

Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards. RC8 seems like one of those times.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

New One: Just had two 'ghost' nodes on my AiMesh network. The main GT-AX11000 router and two RT-AX92U nodes and two further two nodes beneath them, both disconnected, both with the name of Home. The RTs have custom names so didn't appear to be duplicates. Gone after a reboot but connections...

Agree. Would not expect a load balancing mechanism to deliver anything faster than the fastest connection. It's possible that either the 48 connection is actually faster or there is an error in measurement.

Try doing a factory reset on the the node RT and then try to add it back in. If that doesn't work factory reset both units and totally reconfigure.

The sluggish GUI is a typical symptom experienced when a full reset after upgrading hasn't been carried out. Not currently using port forwarding so can't comment on that.

Is it always the same unit? What happens if you remove one of the other RTs?

    Definitive WiFi Settings

Hmmmm Wonder why I suggested putting a sticky item with the 'definitive' settings then eh? Was hoping for a collective input to create a guide for each of the settings. Never mind.
