UPDATE:
It's been years having this problem but now i can confirm its fixed. Speeds are fast in both directions.
I cant figure out why but its either one of these:
1. Microsoft has fixed Windows 11 to work more efficently with this 2.5 moca device.
2. I switched all my drives to be NVME and...
Yea that is what i thought years back and even the ScreenBeam tech guy thought the same. So we DID disable "Energy-Efficient Ethernet" and "Green Ethernet" on all nic cards. As i check, they are still disabled to this day. But either enabled or disabled it didnt result int he problem...
Much appreciated on taking Windows out of the equation. Helps narrow it down even more. Oh and thanks for even trying a brand new unit. I was always meant to buy rent another from Amazon to test but never got around to it. There is another person who has the same problem as us btw. I might...
Yup all your tests is what i also did a year+ ago and came out with the exact same disappointing results Wow, so finally after a year+ i am now seeing other people finally show up experiencing the same thing. As mentioned in the other thread, i spoke to their official tech support. We spent...
Hi there. Yea i recall having this very similar problem with my ECB7250s. Another person i spoke to recently in DM on this site has/had the same problem as yours. So you most definitely are not alone. I first discovered it over a year ago. Frustrated the hell out of me. At the time i spoke...
Been using my ECB7250K02 kit for hmm maybe 2-3 years now non-stop. Although i posted here way back about not being able to achieve the advertised 2.5Gbps in one direction (other direction worked perfectly), i discovered it seems to be windows randomly throttling when network activity is...
I have the ScreenBeam (ActionTec) ECB7500 (moca 2.5)
I have two PCs (both Win11 Pro). Both have the same specs. When i transfer from PC1 to PC2 across the 2.5Gbps network i get 285MB/s. However, when transferring the same file (after clearing the system file cache via RAMMap) from PC2 to PC1...
This line is so true...my ECB7250 moca units came with 2 splitters (manufacturer included) but technically weren't designed for moca 2.x. I happened to have my own splitter that has "designed for Moca 2.0" stamped right on the splitter face and when i tested both branded splitters the...
In case it matters, just now i decided to connect both my Moca 2.5 units together via a "short cable". Technically, I'm using a male-male F-type coupler to reduce the coax length to its shortest possible distance that i can get (1 inch). Here is what you SHOULD be getting at their peak...
So i have 2xActiontec Moca 2.5 (w/true 2.5 GBe ethernet ports)) units (model #: ECB7250). Firmware version: 1.18.2.0.
One of my units, under Device Status has a section that shows "Ethernet RX" with "Rx Dropped" showing 1593 packets. Snapshot:
My other unit does not have any dropped packets...
Title says it all.
At the moment i am only getting between 170MB/s to 217MB/s which seems small. I would have expected the real-world to be between 298-305.
So i have a dropAmp (EDA FT08300) located at the cable drop in my laundry room. 5 of its 10 ports are being used. The unused ports are terminated via F-type 75 Ohms terminators. 3 of the used coax ports go to televisions in my house. The other 2 are:
- For cable modem (at the end of the...
