    Zenwifi AC CT8 Version 3.0.0.4.386.22238 (2Jul20) is a disaster

The no ethernet backhaul is truly baffling. I tested by just selectively upgrading the nodes. I was beginning to think if it's just me.

    Zenwifi AC CT8 Version 3.0.0.4.386.22238 (2Jul20) is a disaster

Anyone with these Zenwifi AC CT8 DO NOT update to Version 3.0.0.4.386.22238 I updated and it was a freaking DISASTER. Main node (router) refused to assign IP all LEDs were normal (green/white), multiple reboots later I finally managed to get into GUI. Pureluck i believe. (I experimented with...

    Guest Network on AiMesh node?

we wait zzzz. As a work around im using a RT68u with merlin in AP mode (deliberately not put in AIMesh) to broadcast guest network. the rt68u needs a custom script to make guest network work properly (and even then only 2.4ghz guest works correctly ! zzz)...

    Guest Network on AiMesh node?

are only zenwifi devices in the AImesh that you have. Are you mixing any non-zenwifi devices?

    Guest Network on AiMesh node?

seems like guest network only works if all your devices are zenwifi devices (CT8/XT8). I got a pair of CT8s from my ISP at a discounted price and tested this. Once I added my old x2 RT-A68U s to the AIMesh, guest network is only transmitted by the main zenwifi (CT8 in router mode). speeds are...

    Zenwifi Guest Network

    Zenwifi Guest Network

thats horrible. I've read somewhere that if it's all Zenwifi gear (no mixing of other AImesh product), guest network works fine from all nodes. So what im curious is if I switch it the other way round: CT8 (router mode) + CT8 (node) + RT68U (AP mode) Would both CT8s broadcast a nicely working...

    Zenwifi Guest Network

I'm thinking if I should get a pair Asus Zenwifi CT8 at discounted rates from my ISP. I intend to run RT-AC68U (main router) with x2 CT8 (in Aimesh node mode). Anyone is using a similar setup? Regular asus router with zenwifi units in Aimesh node mode. Does your Guest Network function...

Mesh Solution with working Guest Network

Thanks for the input. Something to keep in mind about the marketing fluff. My premises has a very strange layout. 2 floors, stairway, weird walkways, heavy wooden doors, giant outdoor balcony area and stuff. Luckily most of my living areas have wired Lan. I've taken the lazy approach to juz...

Mesh Solution with working Guest Network

Sadly, in a 1500sqft 2 storey apartment, enterprise gear is abit of an overkill. have you see the size of an actual UAP-AP-PRO. It's so oddly shaped and frankly too large. the only place it belongs is mounted on a ceiling like a smoke detector. rated speeds cant beat consumer gear also. I mean...
